The design phase of this project spanned nearly 12 months as RTC’s Director familiarised himself with knowledge in an area which is an extension to our already diverse core business. The brief was to create a backyard resort for the whole family to enjoy while incorporating and remaining sympathetic to the existing surrounding home. The excavation into existing foundations to a depth of 4 metres over a very shallow water table required extensive underpinning of the existing residence. Underground seepage issues also needed to be addressed as the pool construction took place.
